Fort Lauderdale, FL - Florida Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad had a blunt message for Brooks Koepka during the team's Stanley Cup championship parade on Sunday. As Ekblad walked up to the podium during the post-parade rally, he shouted "F**k you, Brooks Koepka!" in front of the cheering crowd.

Ekblad's words were a reference to a comedic rivalry between the two South Florida athletes. Last year, Koepka, who now plays for the controversial Saudi-backed LIV Golf league, had attended a Panthers game while holding a traffic cone. He proceeded to mock Ekblad by pointing the cone at him, indicating the defenseman sucked.

Ekblad waited until the Panthers won their first ever NHL championship to fire back at Koepka. With a traffic cone placed on his own head at the rally, Ekblad ensured Koepka knew championship glory was sweet.

While many fans love both stars, Ekblad's blunt response to Koepka adds humor to a rivalry that began over something as silly as a traffic cone.

Fans reacted very positively to Aaron Ekblad's payback to Brooks Koepka at the Florida Panthers' Stanley Cup championship parade and rally on June 30, 2024.

During the celebration, Ekblad took the podium and held a pylon over his head, mimicking the gesture Koepka made at him back in March when the golfer heckled Ekblad from the stands, calling him a "f**king traffic cone" after losing some bets on the Panthers.

Ekblad began his speech by saying "F**k you Brooks Koepka", which was met with huge cheers from the crowd. Fans found the incident hilarious and loved Ekblad getting his revenge on the LIV Golf star:

"This is golden, hell of a guy Eky haha 🤣"

"Brooks should never show his face at any Stanley Cup game"

"Awesome Aaron. Well played"

"This is my favorite thing ever!"

Koepka himself saw the funny side, re-sharing the clip on his Instagram with laughing emojis. The two were able to put the incident behind them and enjoy the Panthers' championship together.
