LIV Golf Returns to The States with $25 Million Event in Nashville

LIV Golf Returns to The States with $25 Million Event in Nashville

The controversial Saudi-backed LIV Golf series will make its first appearance in the United States this week, with a new tournament taking place in Nashville, Tennessee. The three-day event at The Grove club will see another $25 million in prize money up for grabs, as some of golf's biggest names compete.

Fresh off his second career U.S. Open victory, Bryson DeChambeau leads the field as captain and top player for the Crushers team. Looking to defend their place atop the team standings, DeChambeau will try to keep up his strong recent play. His top challengers include Jon Rahm, back from injury and seeking his first LIV individual title with teammates Tyrrell Hatton and Kieran Vincent.

Another highly anticipated return belongs to Brooks Koepka, who is the captain and star for the Smash GC. Looking for victory number two on the LIV circuit, Koepka will count on fellow Americans Talor Gooch and Jason Kokrak for support. Cameron Smith also hopes to build on his experience captaining the Punch GC and contend for the individual crown.

The 54-hole tournament will tee off on June 21st at 1:00 PM ET from The Grove club. Friday's first round will be televised from 1-6 PM on LIV Golf's YouTube and CW App. Broadcast coverage then switches to The CW Network & App for Saturday and Sunday, along with continued streaming on LIV's platforms.

With $25 million on the line and marquee names clustered at the top of the leaderboard, LIV Golf's Nashville debut is poised to provide intense competition. After months of controversy, the breakaway circuit now looks to continue establishing itself on American soil. All eyes will be on DeChambeau, Koepka and others battling it out at the first-ever LIV event in Music City.
